Shabu shabu for dinner.. boiling water, and raw meat, seafood and vegetables (the split in the boiler is to keep the seafood away from the beef)
Myself, Dylan from Pixar, and Bernie, our host after a few Sake’s (not me i just look that way all the time)
Xmas decorations everywhere, but interestingly xmas day is just another work day in Japan, it’s certainly not a holiday..
The Japanese work exceedingly hard, and catch sleep on trains, it amazes me they wake up in time to get off, you see so many people nodding off like this.
We visited the FX shop that do the Ultraman films, the original founder of the company was the FX artist who made the original Godzilla films. Fun stuff I get to do for work..
Trivanthum Tummy

Whilst in India last week, we took a day trip down to Trivanthum, in the south of the country. Scenery wise, it looks very much like Goa, or even Phuket.
The above image, is taken in a lovely little restaurant we dined at late in the day, when we discovered our flight had been delayed by a few hours.
It looked very clean, but unfortunately half way through the meal, i saw the doors to the kitchen open, which in fact lead to the outside world, an outdoor kitchen..
our vegetarian spring roll, the size of a large reptile, had washed vegetables in it, not cooked, the outside was coked, the inside was raw vegies, and delicious.. pitty they were probably washed in local tap water.. which never occurred to me, until 10pm that night when i started hugging the porcelain..
The rain came down, hard, and our flight was delayed by 3 hours.. but it made for some nice snaps off the iPhone..

This wonderful trash bin, made me think of home.. well in a laugh at the world sort of way..
And a little civilization never goes astray when you travel..
